West Region IT Camp follow up from Denver (May 15) and Los Angeles (May 22)

Thank you to everyone who made it to the IT Camp events in Denver on May 15th and Los Angeles on May 22nd! We had some great interaction and questions from the folks in attendance at both events. I promised I would post the deck that I presented once I received approval to do so. I am a few days late getting this up, but I did just upload the deck to my Slideshare site and am embedding it here. If you want to download the deck, please view it on Slideshare and you will have the option to download the PPT deck.

In Denver, I had a few questions that I needed to follow up on. I lost the sheet of paper that I took notes on and can only remember one of the questions.

  • Does Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V expose USB devices to the Virtual Machine?

For those who attended and remember the other questions, please help me out and post them here. I am still researching this question and will hope to have an answer soon.

In Los Angeles, I had the following questions:

  • Does Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V expose USB devices to the Virtual Machine?
  • Will ReFS and Data DeDupe be able to be enabled on the same volume? Currently in the Beta, this is not possible.
  • Will Remote Desktop Services support a higher version of TLS (currently seems to support 1.0 only)?

Please let me know if I am missing any other questions from the event in Los Angeles.

I will grab the PowerPoint deck from Vision Solutions tomorrow morning and post their deck in another follow up post tomorrow or Thursday.
