We completed our second webcast and had one question during that session. Below is the Question and the corresponding answer.
Our fourth session ( Lync Server 2010: Implementing Call-Admission Control) is taking place on Friday, June 24th from 10 AM – 11 AM (PST). If you haven’t registered and want to attend, please do so at: https://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/EventDetail.aspx?EventID=1032486213&Culture=en-US.
Question: Microsoft recommends to do federation flip after all users are migrated since according the doc it will be a limited functionality for legacy users in case federation traffic is routed via Lync. What kind of limitations?
Answer: The limitations are always around what was supported in the OCS federation capabilities compared to what Lync 2010 supports. There are new capabilities in Lync federation abilities with other organizations.
