Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Has Released To manufacturing (RTM)!!!

WOW!!!  Just got the announcement that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 have been Released To Manufacturing (RTM) today!!   For those folks who are curious as to the RTM build number, it is 7600.  Please remember that RTM does NOT mean you will be able to get your hands on the bits today or tomorrow.

OEMs will receive the bits in about 2 days.

MSDN and TechNet Subscribers will be able to download the English bits from the secure site on August 6th.   The rest of the languages will be available by October 1st.

Volume Licensing customers with Software Assurance will be able to download the English bits from the secure site on August 7th.  The rest of the languages will be available a few weeks after that.

Consumers will be able to purchase retail packages at the stores starting October 22nd.  They will also be able to purchase new computers with Windows 7 on October 22nd.
