TechNet Event Recap: Phoenix, Arizona - August 22, 2006

During the TechNet Event in Phoenix on August 22, 2006, I had a couple of comments and / or questions that came up that I need to post a follow up on.

1.  I asked for information on additional User Groups in town.  There is an Arizona SharePoint User Group hosted by BVA.  To find out more, please visit: https://www.bvainc.com/SharePointUsersGroup.shtml.

2.  Someone mentioned that Windows Vista supports booting from non-volatile flash memory on a hard drive (which I did not know - boy am I falling behind).  This feature is called Windows ReadyDrive and you can find more information on the Windows Vista blog site: https://blogs.technet.com/windowsvista/archive/2006/08/10/445892.aspx.  There is a link to a white paper that goes into more details on this.  I think I will have to find one of these drives myself because I can't be a geek without one!  (Now if I could just convince my finance manager to let me buy one!)

3.  David Shaw spoke about MOF and ITIL and how Microsoft can help with this.  If you are interested and would like to talk to David, his email address is: davidsh@microsoft.com.

If I forgot anything, please let me know.  I am sorry it took me so long to get this posted and I appreciate your patience.
