Problem:

Installing Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant Console breaks presence in Outlook

Symptoms:

The check boxes to allow presence integration in Attendant Console are grayed out.

Cause:

Attendant Console sets default Outlook IMApplication to be itself

Resolution:

If you are running 32bit XP/Vista:

· Click Start->Run and type RegEdit and click Ok.

· Navigate to the following RegKey: HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Office\Outlook\Call Integration\IMApplication

· And modify the key where AttendantConsole.exe and change to Communicator.exe

If you are running 64bit XP/Vista:

· As above but under the following hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Call Integration
