So, here are a few hints for those willing to try infiniband on Windows:

  1. Install Server 2003 SP2: https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=08fec2f5-6e3b-4e0d-9314-646414d0a421\&displaylang=en
  2. Install Server 2003 SP2!
  3. Did I mention 2003 SP2?
  4. ... then obtain and install https://support.microsoft.com/kb/938680/en-us
  5. Afterwards, obtain and install the OpenFabrics IB stack for Windows: https://www.openfabrics.org/downloads/WinOF/
