    Greetings Margie,

Please ensure you have the latest printer drivers from your manufacturer. Unless you are getting Print Spooler errors the issue is with the printer or the printer drivers. For problems with the printer including blinking error lights/messages, printing odd characters, paper jam/feed issues, and ink/toner questions the manufacturer can help you with this.

My printer will not come on.  It is plugged into power. I have clicked the "on" button repeatedly.  I have sent print jobs to the printer. Usually it comes on by itself, but it will do nothing.  I have tried unplugging the USB cord from the back and replugging, unplugging the electrical plug and plugging it in again.

Is there a reset button?  (HP Deskjet D1320)  Please suggest a solution.   Thanks

I have a printer, printer spool problem, or a virtual printer port problem, or maybe some type of virus causing my problems. I am running xp with a dell 940 printer.

First of all after I clear the print spooler my print takes forever to print just a simple small email even. Then the spooler says it is deleting but it never does, used fixit and it works as long as I re boot the computer then it is good for only one very slow print job then stuck again.

I have 2009 norton antivirus with all the updates and I have run a complete virus scan. I did have one virus which it said it resolved and security was low.

I am also up to date on windows updates, the problem seemed to start when I downloaded service pack 3.5 several days ago but I cannot say that this has caused the problem..

Also printer driver seem to be up to date as far as I can tell.

So I tried totally deleting the printer and then re installed it, then had problems with the ports, for some reason my computer will only work on the virtual usb port which to me seem wrong when I have a usb printer port above. The virtial priner port will not delete or update saying it is unsupported. I am totally stuck, I have tried for 2 days to get it printing again to no avail.

Before this problem my printer worked great, was fast with no problems. Any ideas or help with what I may be overlooking please advise…….Thanks…Jim
