SharePoint 2010 kan nu worden ge-update naar het meest recente Patchlevel met de “Juni 2012” cumulatieve update.

Het is aan te raden om de SharePoint 2010 omgeving eerst te voorzien van Service Pack 1 voordat de post SP1 cumulatieve updates worden geïnstalleerd. Meer informatie over SharePoint Server 2010 SP1 is te vinden op: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2460045.

TIP: Het cumulatieve Update pakket voor SharePoint 2010 Server (SPS2010) bevat tevens alle updates voor SharePoint 2010 Foundation (MSF2010). Het is dus niet langer nodig beide updates te downloaden en te installeren – De Cumulatieve Update voor SharePoint Server 2010 zal ook Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 bijwerken.

Na het installeren van de updates is het belangrijk om de SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard uit te voeren. Dit kan zowel vanuit het Start Menu worden gestart als vanaf een command: “psconfig –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b -wait”. Deze moeten op alle servers worden toegepast binnen de farm waarop SharePoint staat geïnstalleerd.
