WSS3.0 en MOSS2007 Februari 2011 Cumulatieve Update

Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 en Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 kunnen nu worden ge-update naar het meest recente Patchlevel met de “December 2010” cumulatieve update.

De grootte van de cumulatieve updates zijn kleiner dat de cumulatieve updates die dateren voor de Juni 2010 CU. Dit komt omdat SP2 vanaf die datum vereist is om de update te kunnen installeren. Hierdoor is het niet langer nodig bepaalde (SP1 / SP2) fixes met elke cumulatieve update te publiceren.

Additionele informatie omtrent het downloaden en installeren van updates:
•Installeer eerst Service Pack 2 voor zowel Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 als Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, indien dat nog niet is gedaan.

•Zorg ervoor dat ook de WSS / MOSS Language Packs zijn bijgewerkt met Service Pack 2.

•Installeer de “full server package for WSS” https://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=2475886&kbln=en-us

Na het installeren van de updates is het belangrijk om de SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard uit te voeren. Dit kan zowel vanuit het Start Menu worden gestart als vanaf een command: “psconfig –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b -wait”. Deze moeten op alle servers worden toegepast binnen de farm waarop SharePoint staat geïnstalleerd.
