Chris Ahlers’ Bio

My name is Chris Ahlers and I am a Software Dev Engineer. I began working for Microsoft in June of 2000 for the Exchange Server group.  I started by testing the protocols DAV and ExOleDB as well as a little known feature called “Local Store” (aka Cached Mode in Outlook 2003).  In early 2002, I became part of the Exchange Security Team that focuses on penetration testing as well as educating the entire Exchange Server group in the latest and preferred security practices. Today I am still a part of the Security Team and I thoroughly enjoy the work. It makes me feel good to know that I am part of a team that solely focuses on making Exchange more secure for our customers.
