I’ve been in IT since about ’97, starting off in Desktop Support and then working as the network/email administrator at a small college. In addition, I took on the management responsibilities for a helpdesk that supported over 2000 users during the school year. After that, I worked as a consultant for a consulting firm implementing Lotus Domino and Windows NT based solutions for small and medium businesses. Using that experience in email systems, I then got a job at Microsoft as a Support Professional in Product Support Services on the Exchange Foreign Connectors team. I worked in the Exchange support organization for almost 3 years working in several different roles, first as a Support Professional, then as a Technical Lead and Problem Control Team SP (escalation team). During that time, my specialty was Lotus Notes Coexistence/Migration and I’ve written/edited or revised much of the content that exists publicly on Lotus Notes Migration/Co-existence with Exchange 5.5/2000. In April 2003, I was hired as the MVP Lead/Communities Program Manager (CPM) for Exchange and Outlook and just recently added LiveMeeting and Live Communications Server to my list of responsibilities. My current role involves being the Account Manager for the aforementioned products’ MVP’s as their primary contact point at Microsoft as well as driving the business results for the MVP program within the Exchange, Outlook, LiveMeeting and LCS products.
