As announced in May, we are adding Windows 10 compatibility to System Center Configuration Manager 2007 and also to Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010. This means that existing Configuration Manager 2007 management features will continue to work when using Windows 10 (Note: OS deployment is not supported).
System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (applies to SP2, including R2 and R3)
Update KB3044077 enables Configuration Manager client features, the Branch Distribution Point role and the Configuration Manager console for Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB. Other editions of Windows 10 are not supported.
Additionally, this update adds Windows 10 to the list of supported platforms for the following features:
- Software distribution
- Software update management
- Desired configuration management
Note Operating system deployment is not supported with Windows 10 and Configuration Manager 2007. You can deploy Windows 10 with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2013 Update 1.
Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 (with Update Rollup 1)
Update KB3073408 enables the installation of the Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 client on computers that are running Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB edition. Other editions of Windows 10 are not supported.
Note This update applies to the Forefront Endpoint Protection client in an environment that is managed by System Center Configuration Manager 2007.
