Microsoft a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Client Management Tools 2015

Gartner awarded Microsoft a strong Leader position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Client Management Tools (CMT). Microsoft has been a Leader for the past eleven years, as this Magic Quadrant evolved from Desktop Software Distribution to PC Configuration and Lifecycle Management, to Client Management tools. Authoring analysts Terry Cosgrove and Kevin Knox recommended System Center Configuration Manager for organizations with strong client management skills, especially those running predominantly Microsoft software. Gartner noted that Microsoft has the largest market share in the client management tool market.

Microsoft, IBM and Landesk maintained relatively the same positions in the Leader quadrant as the last two years. Besides the leaders, several other vendors decreased their relative strengths in ability to execute and completeness of vision, with Symantec moving from a leader to visionary and Dell Kace moving from a visionary to challenger.
