Howdy Howdy Howdy!

I've finally given in, and started to blog...with all the other digital "outlets" I use, I still didn't have a great place to collect and share all the great information, tips and tricks that I come across for enterprise administration and interoperability. Over the years I've had a number of requests to take work I've done and post it "on the web" (mostly scripting or WMI related work) - something I should have been doing myself.

In the coming months and years I hope to share with you some unique and useful insights and tools that should make enterprise administration on Windows (and integrated with other platforms) simpler and more efficient. I'll try to gather jewels from the smart folks I know (both inside and outside of Microsoft) that may be of value to administrators of all types - from small organizations to big, as well as gather and publish less mainstream information as time permits. Please bare with me as I learn how to use the blogging tools - I'm certainly not an artist (as everyone but my mother would attest to!), but I will do my best to lay things out well.

If you have suggestions for topics, find the information useful or have feedback, please do not hesitate to share!

Some items that have been suggested recently to cover include:

  • Windows command primer for UNIX Administrators
  • More WMI administration Tips and Tricks
  • Linux / UNIX on Hyper-V
  • More details on how to identify (from within a Windows VM) that it is virtualized
  • Manual Hyper-V Backup on Windows Server 2008 R2

Let me know what you think.
