Success on the Step

I just finished reading Hal's copy of Success on the Step.  It's a fantastic book and now that it's available in paperback, I might have to get my own copy.  The story of Kenmore Air really appeals to me because of the adventurous side of the founder and his employees (landing floatplanes on glaciers, etc.) and all the remote places their planes have flown over the years.  My newest New Year's resolution is to fly in one of their planes by the end of the year.  :)

The recurring theme in this book is Kenmore Air's undying dedication to customer service.

I'll end with four sentences from Bob Munro quoted at the end of the book which I think are pretty good advice.  They made me think about my life & work a bit, at least.  :)

  • Dedicate yourself to achieve success in whatever you do.
  • Have your priorities in order.
  • Be willing to take risks and be confident in your ideas.
  • Don't work necessarily for money but for accomplishment.
