Blech, I was wrong about something I said

Some time ago I posted on constructed attributes. There was a snafu in an item I posted (and by snafu I mean mistake).
I said that constructed attributes are only returned in base searches. This is incorrect in the general case. This is true for some constructed attributes (like tokenGroups) but not true for many others, including the example I posted! I should have at least tested to be sure my statement was correct for my example. Hindsight is always 20:20 I guess. 🙂

I hate wrong info, sorry to have passed it along.

I didn’t notice and I knew what you meant. 🙂

Heh, I just read it. I thought you were going to let me look at these things before you post them. :oP Just kidding you ~Eric. Thanks for standing up and admitting to the mistake. Good thing. I think there was a thread on exactly this topic on ad org or in one of the newsgroups. I believe there are only a couple of constructed attributes you can only pull in a bse query.

Yes, the major one is tokenGroups*. I was thinking about tokenGroups* when I wrote this, not really thinking about the rest, which is where the error came from. 🙂
