Three new UK universities adopting Microsoft Live@edu

Heading to Brighton, Plymouth or Huddersfield this year?

Then you’re in for a treat at these three universities as well as many other academic institutions will be rolling out Microsoft Live@edu to their students starting this academic year. Great news! Party smile

Are you?

Are you rolling out Live@edu ready for September? We’d love to hear from you so why not tell us about your project in the comments? We’re always looking for institutions who have used Live@edu in interesting and unique ways or even institutions who just have a really great story to tell.

Food for thought

If you’ve rolled out and are looking for ways to increase usage across your student base, or ways to encourage your staff to get best value, why not consider some of these ideas?

  • Resource mailboxes – manage calendaring for things you might not normally think of! School mini bus, conference room, digital cameras, you can make use of resource mailboxes to manage all of these through Live@edu!
  • Distribution groups – why not create some distribution groups for your clubs and societies? Allow people to communicate in new ways by utilising the power of distribution groups.
  • Welcome message – Say hello to your users with a welcoming email, fill it full of useful tips like how to set your dictionary, OOF message or how to connect a smartphone to the service.
