We are pleased to announce that as of today, August 1, 2011 Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is generally available in 25 countries and 23 languages

After 3 years of hard work by many dedicated teams, public disclosure and the kickoff of partner and field readiness in January 2011  we are pleased to announce that the wait is officially over and our most innovative release of Microsoft Dynamics AX is available to customers as of today.

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is Microsoft’s ERP solution designed for enterprises with 200 to 7,500 users that empowers people to anticipate and embrace change. It helps employees be more productive and increases the value of data by providing all people in the organization with access to critical business information and processes. The single, global solution promotes rapid adoption because it’s simple to learn and use, and provides the agility needed to expand business opportunities, modify processes, and differentiate your business.

Core industry functionality is built directly into the solution supporting end-to-end capabilities for: manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services, and public sector. Packaged solutions can be built and implemented on top of the industry platform with support from Microsoft Partners for a robust solution that meets even the most specific needs. Microsoft Dynamics AX supports global organizations by offering multi-site capabilities, country-specific functionality, and multi-language support on a central installation.

With this release we are not only bringing innovation to our partners, ISVs and customers in terms of capabilities but also revolutionize the ERP market by introducing the familiar  Microsoft Licensing model (Server and CALs) for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.  The new licensing model simplifies the way to purchase ERP. Connecting the RoleTailored design with the way we license Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ensures that customers buy the exact licenses to meet the needs of the individual users. No more- no less!
