New update to Dynamics NAV 2009 help

The final planned update to the Developer, Install, and Administrative Help for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 is now available in the MSDN Library and for download from the Microsoft Download Center. For details of the content enhancements, see the Dynamics NAV Team blog.

Benefits of Continuous Publishing

Since the Dynamics NAV 2009 Help locked down for RTM in September of 2008, we have updated the developer, install, and administration documentation 6 times. These releases demonstrate the incredible value of a continuous publishing model for documentation.

· We now have a single, unified documentation set that is searchable by Bing and Google and instrumented for web analytics. We average about 45,000 page views per month.

· The updated Help has been downloaded an average of 800 times per month (~12,000 times).

· On Mibuso and DynamicsUser forums, partners routinely point other partners to the guidance in the Help on MSDN.

· The NAV developer experience has been enhanced with new content that can be integrated with the NAV IDE.

o 70% more content (new topics and enhancements to existing topics) than what shipped with Dynamics NAV 2009.

o 55% of the topics have been improved.

o 12% of the topics are new since RTM.

o 13% more F1 mappings than RTM, which improves integration between the NAV IDE and Help.
