When I ran the exchange tool, I see in Time Zone update Log file, the old time and the new time hours are off by 5 hours, but on the user outlook, the changes are correct. What would cause that?

Q: When I ran the exchange tool, I see in Time Zone update Log file, the old time and the new time hours are off by 5 hours, but on the user outlook, the changes are correct. What would cause that? Where is update MSExTmz-0x3XXX_log getting its hrs from?
A: The tool actually collects several different time zone settings from the mailbox. It collects the Outlook Time zone, OWA time zone, CDO time zone, and time zone information for recurring appointments. Any one of those may be causing what you see in the logs. You may want to check and see if they're using an OWA server or a CDO application to access their calendar on a regular basis, and make sure that it is updated and set to the correct time zone.
