What is the “extended DST period” I keep hearing about?

Q: What is the “extended DST period” I keep hearing about?

A: The extended DST period are the four weeks extending daylight saving time in 2007. These are the last three weeks in March (beginning the second Sunday in March) and the week that falls between the last Sunday in October and first Sunday in November. Essentially, we ‘spring forward’ three weeks earlier and ‘fall back’ a week later than in prior years.
