Some clients are patched and all servers are. Can we run the exchange patch now?

Q: We have a very large geographic deployment. We have pushed some of the client updates out to both XP SP2 and Windows 2000 clients with SP4. All Server OSes have had the patch applied, so is it ok to deploy the exchange server 2000/2003 patch now.
A: The recommended order of patching as outlined by support.microsoft.com/kb/930879 is 1. Patch Server OS (931836)

2. Patch Client OS (implied)

3. Rebase

4. Patch Server OS (931836)

5. Patch CDO (926666)
