location and privacy–data privacy day

i didn’t realize the day after my birthday is data privacy day.  i’m personally not a very private person (hence a blog, facebook, twitter, xbox and somewhat recently a four square account) but every once in a while i step back and consider how much i’m sharing with facebook, from my phone or now from my computer.  windows 7 location and sensor platfom does a great job of telling you if and what you are sharing by enabling this feature.  for me it’s a balance of convenience and privacy and there are many areas of my life (although not explicitly public that i’m “tracked” – credit cards, my panera card, ipass, and a gps in the car just to name a few.  happy data privacy day everyone!
