windows 7 wednesday tip: audio troubleshooting

windows 7 is so good it even solves problems the average user might not know how to fix.  case in point – my laptop won’t record sounds from the built in microphone (not that big a deal until your company starts using your laptop as your phone!  now it’s really important!)

in the past you might have to try to figure this out on your own.  with windows 7, just search for audio and one of the results is find and fix audio recording problems

my system is not recording audio, so i ran the recording wizard…

internal microphone is what i was trying to use

windows 7 detected the internal microphone was not the default and fixed it for me!
