Booting up the I.T. part of my brain

Content has been a bit scarce on this blog this month, this is because I have just spent the last 2 weeks on holiday trying very hard not to think about computers at all.  I have been in the north of Spain in the Cantabria region in a 200 year old renovated cottage called La Mazuela buried deep in a valley amongst some farms.  The best thing of all was that my Windows Mobile had no coverage whatsoever which meant no phone calls, no email, no RSS, nothing at all!  Even if I had wanted to sync some emails, I just couldn't!  All this meant that I was able to switch off completely, my hardest decisions each day were ones regarding the barbecue and some very cold beer!

The cottage was in an area called Riotuerto, not far from Santander.  Here it is (albeit, in not too great a resolution): <maps.live.com/#JndoZXJlMT1iYXJyaW8rZGUrYXJyaWJhJmJiPTQzLjM4MjU5NDczMzM1MjclN2UtMy41NDYwMDkwNjM3MjA2OSU3ZTQzLjI2NzcwNjMwNTkxOSU3ZS0zLjc1MzM3NjAwNzA4MDA3>

I thoroughly recommend visiting/staying in the area as it is breathtakingly beautiful and unbelievably peaceful; I found it more relaxing being there than sitting on a lounger on a quiet beach.  If you do visit the area, make sure that you stop into the butchers shop in nearby La Cavada as you can buy plenty of delicious meat for your barbecue!

However, I am back now and I have just finished going through my 1000 emails that accumulated whilst I was away.  I have some blog content in mind which I will try to post over the next few days.
