Polycom har netop annonceret at deres populære CX5000 360-grader videoenhed også kaldet RoundTable fra i dag bliver opdateret til at kunne levere HD video kvalitet. Dette betyder at hvis du bestiller en CX5000 i dag vil den blive leveret i HD modellen, da denne erstatter den tidligere version.

Lyden er også blevet bedre. Tilbage i oktober fik alle CX5000 enhederne en opdatering der øgede lyd kvaliteten på enheden til “near wideband” niveau, og denne opdatering er naturligvis også implementeret i den nye version af produktet.

Det er ikke en opgradering men et nyt produkt. Det betyder også at man ikke kan opgradere de CX5000 enheder man allerede har, men at de skal skiftes til nye. Dog siger tidlige meldinger at prisen holdes på samme niveau

Jeg har ikke selv set den endnu, men jeg skal nok skrive om det lige så snart jeg har fået fingrene i en model selv.
