Acabo de recibir un correo de wfdjghzna@confidence.ms.com conteniendo un adjunto que parecia llamarse INSTALLATION97.exe y que lógicamente se ha encargado de eliminar el antivirus de nuestra organizacion de Exchange.

Microsoft NUNCA envia por correo parches adjuntos a lista de distribucion alguna. Los mensajes generados con alertas de seguridad se envian en TEXTO PLANO y son siempre contrastables en http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletinsandadvisories/default.mspx

Install now to help protect your computer from these vulnerabilities, the most serious of which could allow an attacker to run code on your system. This update includes the functionality of all previously released patches.

 System requirements Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP
 This update applies to MS Internet Explorer, version 4.01 and later
MS Outlook, version 8.00 and later
MS Outlook Express, version 4.01 and later
 Recommendation Customers should install the patch at the earliest opportunity.

    Me suena, me suena. Por el aspecto del mensaje, parece una variante del puñetero Swen que tuvo su apogeo a finales de 2003 y principios de 2004. Digo "puñetero" porque en esa época parece que picó el anzuelo bastante gente, como pude comprobar muy bien en los newsgroups.
