  1. You guys should have notified the local dev communities, asked for help and participation. Like 1-2 months in advance. DotNetZone has 9000 members and I just heard *rumours* about some future Azure and Open Source event. Googling for “Azure Open Source Greece” didn’t even return this page.

Unfortunately your event conflicts with the Greek Java UG’s event on Docker, Kubernetes and Microservices https://www.meetup.com/Java-Hellenic-User-Group/events/244787630/ which will be held at Eurobank’s conference center

    What do we do now?

    1. Hi Panagiotis 🙂 As I see Meetup is in the evening hours, our OpenHack is in the business hours. So, I do not see conflict 🙂 After OpenHack you can go to Meetup!

      1. I posted an announcement but now people have questions in the FB event page that aren’t getting answered. Someone’s asked on Friday whether he should load any other software to his laptop apart from the OS. Now he’s asking at the UG group.

If there’s any information about the event, format, requirements, it should be posted on the FB event page. It would be a good idea to provide this info to the community as well. Posting on event.microsoft.com wouldn’t hurt either, unless this is a closed/partners-only event

        1. Hi Panagiotis. Thanks for your questions. Just OS is enough as in the announcement. If something needs to be used during OpenHack, you will have information about it, where to download, etc. So, do not worry 🙂 If you really want to prepare in advance, just setup Docker on your local machine.
The event is for everyone, for customers, for partners, and for the community. Unfortunately, I am not part of marketing and event promotion team. I took part of the technical content and event formula (challenge-based hack). They decide about invitations, communications, marketing channels, etc. As I know, they have sent information to the MVP community as well. I will let them know about your feedback.
