Microsoft Continues to Sponsor Fight Against AIDS and Promote Diversity

As first profiled back in March, Microsoft is continuing its support of Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS, a local non-profit organization that provides necessary resources to organizations that assist more than 20,000 clients with HIV/AIDS.

You’ll recall Microsoft is sponsoring the organization’s 12th annual two-day, 180- mile cycling adventure that takes place September 29-30, and to kick-off fundraising efforts for the ride, the organization staged its annual runway event, Passion 4 Fashion on August 10th.

The Microsoft team was on hand to ignite the fundraising initiatives by announcing the company’s $100,000 challenge. As added incentive to support the cycling adventure, Microsoft will give the first 100 riders or crew, who raise at least $1,000, a copy of Office Professional 2010.

Currently, the Microsoft team has more than 25 riders and crew who have signed up, and are still looking for participants.
