The Results Are In!

Twenty-two teams traveled across the country to Microsoft’s Redmond campus to compete in the final round of competition in Microsoft’s U.S. Imagine Cup this past weekend. Each team showcased their software and game designs   to solve the world’s toughest issues, such as combating disease, improving education, ensuring environmental sustainability and reducing child mortality.  Having more than 113,000 students register for the Imagine Cup’s tenth year of competition, the stakes were incredibly high.

You can vote for your favorite inventions in the Game Design and Software Design categories via Facebook or via text message in this year’s People Choice Awards. The team with the highest number of votes will receive a 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect for each registered member of the winning team.  The team that receives the largest amount of votes overall will receive a trip to Sydney, Australia for the Imagine Cup 2012 Worldwide Finals, July 6-10, 2012. Voting is open March 30 to May 19.

You can read about all of the U.S. finalists on the Microsoft Tech Student page on Facebook.
