Recorded event: Understanding Microsoft’s Server Product Licensing in a Virtual Environment

Whenever we can, we record events that take place so that those that cannot attend benefit also.

This event was a popular one in attendance but I have also had a lot of questions about it after it took place. It was delivered by someone whose job I don’t envy but who always does it with a smile on her face

Emma’s official job title is “licensing escalation manager” and the girl knows her stuff. She has been pulled in by the global teams to write the MCP exams too.  In addition to this, she writes an excellent blog on licensing

Virtualisation is a hot topic at the moment, however we know the licensing can be challenging when working out the right way for physical and virtual. This event was an overview of licensing in a virtual world. The session will covered:

· How you can benefit from investing in Software Assurance
· How you can manage your licences using Software Asset Management (SAM), minimising time and cost
· The importance of establishing compliancy in a virtual world/Digital Piracy
· Server Licensing
