We have released to manufacturing the Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit 3.1.

The Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Solution Accelerator is a tool that makes it easy for you to assess your current IT infrastructure for a variety of technology migration projects. It includes the features previously provided with the Windows Vista Hardware Assessment Solution Accelerator. Check out the newly revised MAP Overview.

MAP performs a detailed analysis of hardware and device compatibility for migration to Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Application Virtualisation, and Windows Vista. The hardware assessment looks at the installed hardware and determines if migration is recommended. And best of all, if it is not recommended then the reports tell you why it is not!
