Take part in a TagBooster User Study with Microsoft Research

Microsoft Research

What is the user study for?

The study is about social tagging: We are interested in the way users describe Web pages and the choice of keywords (also known as tags) they use. Our findings will be used to help the scientific community better understand the nature of social tagging. This may ultimately have an impact on the design and improvement of existing tagging systems or even give rise to new systems.

Why enter?

If you participate, you may choose to take part in the prize draw for a 1st prize of a Microsoft Zune (U.S. participants only) or an Amazon voucher of equivalent value. The second and third prizes are a copy of Windows Vista Home Premium. The lucky winners will be notified by e-mail and will receive their prize by post. The prize draw will be held on Monday, 22 October 2007 and is open to Microsoft employees and external participants.

What will the user study involve?

The user study will take approximately five (5) minutes of your time. The study will ask you to tag some Web pages and answer a short questionnaire. At the end of the study, you will be given the opportunity to enter your contact details for the prize draw.
