Hi everyone, I have problem with new 1610 update. Almost everything have been downloaded but Service Point Connection has problem with download these two files:

    ERROR: Failed to download redist for c43a89e4-b642-4fc8-abf0-255bf5d88d82 with command /RedistUrl http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=831290 /LnManifestUrl http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=831291/RedistVersion 112015 /ProxyUri http://IPHERE/ /ProxyUserName /ProxyUserPassword /NoUI “\\FQDN\EasySetupPayload\c43a89e4-b642-4fc8-abf0-255bf5d88d82\redist”
Almost 1 Gb have been downloaded for this update but there is problem with downloading these two.

Is this problem is connected with proxy configuration? Im not sure beacuse if remove service point connection and I add this role without proxy he will ends on first step that he cant resolve microsoft.com dns name.

Last update have been downloaded and installed without problems.

  3. RME says:

    Hi M4R10s,

I’m also getting same error. Is it resolved from your end?

Still it’s showing State is “downloading”, I’ve restarted the SMS services?

  4. Chris Zheng says:

I had the same issue, just manually downloald the two files, ConfigMgr.Manifest.cab and ConfigMgr.LN.Manifest.cab from the urls in the errore message, then put them into c:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\EasySetupPayload\c43a89e4-b642-4fc8-abf0-255bf5d88d82\redist, and everything starts extrating.

  5. Jan says:

When your company uses a proxyserver and you have enabled your proxy server on your sitesystem role, the proxy account credentials will be entered in these keys:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\SMS_DMP_CONNECTOR ProxyUserName

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\SMS_DMP_CONNECTOR ProxyUserPassword

The password key is encrypted and can (somehow) be left blanc. But be sure to fill in your domain\username in the proxyusername key (if its empty). If you dont, at the next CMupgrade, you wont be able to download the manifest files.

    ERROR: Failed to download redist for 91406b1d-7c14-42d8-a68b-484be5c5e9b8 with command /RedistUrl http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=831290 /LnManifestUrl http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=831291 /RedistVersion 112015 /ProxyUri <a href="http://:/“>http://:/ /ProxyUserName /ProxyUserPassword”.

and update and servicing state will stay at “downloading” forever.

Sadly I found out the hard way 😉

  6. Hi Dears
I have same problem (Configuration Manage 1610 ) stuck in Downloading State.
I found a solution for this issue, do you have same issue? user this steps
1-download sccm 1610 .cab file directly from Microsoft, use this Link = http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/0/A/40AB4F74-E2FC-4759-8556-70725F74FFA0/91406B1D-7C14-42D8-A68B-484BE5C5E9B8.cab

2-stop SMS_EXECUTIVE service and Copy 91406B1D-7C14-42D8-A68B-484BE5C5E9B8.cab file witch is previously downloaded to the flowing directory = “Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\EasySetupPayload”

3-Start SMS_EXECUTIVE Service wait for Downloading state change to Available.
now your problem must be fixed.

If you Recive error again use some additional steps
1-Download sccm 1610 prerequisites with this command = SetupDL.exe C:\SCCM1610Reqs ( SetupDL.exe is available in sccm 1610 Source file after extract .cab file to the ) 91406B1D-7C14-42D8-A68B-484BE5C5E9B8 folder folder.
2-Create new folder and named “redist” and copy all prerequisites files to this folder.
    3-Restart SMS_EXECUTIVE service again,

Now you check Configuration Manager 1610 Status again, its must be change to Available.

    Best Regard
