Cumulative Update 1 for ConfigMgr 2012 SP2 and ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP1 is now available

DOWNLOAD5We are happy to announce that Cumulative Update 1 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1 and System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 2 is now available for download. This update includes an extensive list of fixes for the following components:

  • Configuration Manager client
  • Software distribution and content management
  • Operating system deployment
  • Administrator Console
  • Site systems
  • Microsoft Intune / Mobile Device Management
  • Reporting

It also includes updates for Asset Intelligence, Endpoint Protection (SCEP) and Debian 8.

imageOf special note is that with the release of CU1 for ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP1 and ConfigMgr 2012 SP2, Windows 10 drivers can now be imported into the DriverCatalog.log file with no errors.  Prior to the release of Windows 10, OSD would not import drivers marked for Win10.  This was due to the way version number recognition was performed.  This has now been fixed within CU1.

For the latest information regarding Cumulative Update 1 as well as all the details regarding the fixes and updates included, please see the following:

A question regarding the Endpoint Protection Update that is included with this CU; KB3074857 says that KB3041687 (Revised February 2015 antimalware platform update for Endpoint Protection clients) is included in CU1. But KB3041687 is version 4.7.209.0
which I believe is older than the version that is included with 2012 SP2/2012 R2 SP1 which is 4.7.213.0. So is this a typo or am I missing something? I have already updated our clients to KB3049560 which is version 4.8.204.0 so I wasn't expecting CU1 to be
an older version than that. Thanks.

    Hey Guys,

I seem to be unable to set the SCCM client cache size via WMI since this update. The following reports success, but the "Configuration Manager" control panel applet still reports the old size:

    $sms=gwmi -namespace rootccmsoftmgmtagent -class cacheconfig;$sms.size = "10240";$sms.put()

    Cheers

Nevermind, seems you need to restart the SMS Agent. Was this always the case?

    Does FIM 2010 R2 SP1 compatible with SQL 2012 SP3 CU7 or not?

    1. Hello Bhaskar

This blog is for Configuration Manager and FEP/SCEP. Please post questions about FIM in this forum https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=ilm2.
