We had three new Knowledge Base articles published for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 last week.
The first involves and issue where System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) may not restart the client computer automatically, thus potentially preventing important updates from being installed successfully on these computers.
The second is about an issue where if you create a customized class based on extended schema data, if you create a new prompted query that prompts users for a value matching a field in the customized class, the prompt may not occur.
The third involves an issue where packages on Distribution Points (DP) of secondary sites may not be updated with the latest source version and application distribution fails on some sites because of the problem.
There is a hotfix available for each of these issues. The links and titles are below:
KB970635 – Restart Coordinator prevents a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1-based client computer from restarting because it incorrectly concludes that a job is running
KB971300 – Prompted queries that are based on customized Hardware Inventory classes do not prompt users for values in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 systems
KB970317 – Packages on distribution points are not updated with the latest source version in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 RTM systems
