KB945084 – Error message after you insert the System Center Essentials 2007 DVD into a DVD drive: "Not a valid Win32 application"

This issue affects SCE 2007 in some localized languages. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945084

When you insert the Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 product DVD into a DVD drive for which the AutoPlay function is enabled, you receive the following error message:

DriveLetter is not a valid Win32 application.

Note DriveLetter is the drive letter of the DVD drive.

This problem occurs because the Autorun.inf file on the DVD media contains incorrect information for the following localized versions:

•Chinese Traditional

•Chinese Simplified

•Brazilian Portuguese

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

1.Right-click the DVD drive that contains the System Center Essentials 2007 media, and then click Explore.

2.In the root directory, double-click the Default.hta file to start the installation.
