A management group that contains an Exchange Server computer may intermittently stop receiving new alerts in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007.
This problem occurs until you take one of the following actions:
•You restart the OpsMgr Health service on agents in the management group
•You restart the root management server of the management group
When this problem occurs, the following event is logged in the Operations Manager log on the root management server:

Event Source: HealthService
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2115
Computer: <Computer name>
A Bind Data Source in Management Group <Group name> has posted items to the workflow, but has not received a response in <Number> seconds. This indicates a performance or functional problem with the workflow.

Instance Id: <GUID>
This problem occurs because Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 does not correctly handle the data that is submitted from the Exchange management point.
To work around this problem, disable Exchange Server Topology Discovery. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Open the Operations Console. To do this, click Start, point to All Programs, point to System Center Operations Manager 2007, and then click Operations Console.
2.Click Authoring to switch to the Authoring console.
3.In the console tree, expand Management Pack Objects, and then click Object Discoveries.
4.On the toolbar, click Find, type Exchange 2003 Topology Discovery in the Look for text box, and then click Find Now.
5.In the search result, determine whether the Exchange 2003 Topology Discovery object is disabled. If this object is not disabled, right-click Exchange 2003 Topology Discovery, point to Overrides, point to Disable Object Discovery, and then click For all objects.
