Carmine = System Center Virtual Machine Manager

This is something I’ve wished I could have blogged about weeks ago, still here are all the details on our System Center Virtual Machine Manager (formally called “Carmine”).

System Center Virtual Machine Manager is a standalone server application used to manage a virtualized datacenter running either Virtual Server or Windows virtualization. Virtual Machine Manager is tightly integrated in the System Center family of products and together they provide comprehensive management of physical and virtual environments.

I spent a great week recently with the product group touring some great customers in the UK to get feedback and present on this.  That meant sitting through the presentations and discussions multiple times (which was a great learning experience for me).
This is a product that has already generated significant interest and going forward in to the beta I’m sure lots of you will be trying it and liking it.

The new System Center Virtual Machine Manager site is here: https://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/systemcenter/scvmm/default.mspx
