Windows 7 general availability announced…..

According to a posting by Sarah Perez, we (Microsoft) announced the general availability of Windows 7 at a conference in Asia today. I could not find anything at our Official Press Release Site not is there anything on the Windows 7 landing page. However, I did find a Wall Street Journal Europe posting announcing the same thing.

Oh….the date?

October 22nd.

You do the math to figure out an RTM date. I will let you craft your own conclusions on that. Regardless, it is going to be a LOT sooner than most have expected!
