Today we have something a little different, for this, the latest edition to the “8 Minute Demo” video series…

This video presentation/demonstration has been a long time coming, as I have been working on this project for quite a few months now.

It will walk you through the "Simple Disaster Recovery" example solution leveraging v.Current technologies: System Center 2012 and Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V.

What it is:

  • …the culmination of multiple customer, partner and internal MSFT team requirements
  • …an EXAMPLE solution for truly simple disaster recovery
  • …a “template” example solution which could be modified to allow for “any DR solution” to be plugged-in based on the knowledge within the existing Orchestrator Runbooks

What it is not:

  • …the be-all-end-all solution for disaster recovery in all situations
  • …the only solution for disaster recovery
  • …the only offering from MSFT for disaster recovery

Completed Scope:

  • Protect PROD Site Application and Backend at the VM level
  • Recover PROD Site Application and Backend to DR Site
  • Verify Recovery of Application and Backend at DR Site
