ACM Releases Enterprise Architecture (EA) TechPack Plus FEAPO Launches

“ACM's Tech Pack series provides perspectives and insights into the fast-growing EA discipline and profession, which is critically important to both for-profit and non-profit enterprises. The new Tech Pack is well suited for experienced Enterprise and IT Architects and researchers as well as those less familiar with EA. EA helps businesses translate their vision and strategy into effective enterprise change and enables its evolution. Although organizations are striving to be more effective in today's globally connected world, many have yet to achieve the benefits that EA can produce.” For more information, go to: https://techpack.acm.org/ea/. FEAPO (Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations) Launches

The Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (FEAPO) Operating Charter was ratified with the last meeting in Washington DC in September 2011. In addition, FEAPO was recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense and EA practice has the support of the White House. Walt Okon, Senior Architect Engineer for the Architecture & Infrastructure Directorate Office of the Secretary of Defense, recently told Brian Cameron in an e-mail that the Department of Defense is “committed to keeping our Director and the Department of Defense CIO informed of involvement and joint efforts.”“The Department of Defense is very interested and supportive of your efforts in the development of FEAPO,” Okon wrote. “We look forward to active participation and involvement.” FEAPO is the brainchild of Cameron, who actively engages with an EA advisory group of over 70 international corporations, industry associations and government agencies. For more information, go to https://www.feapo.org/ .

At the September FEAPO meeting, Walt Okon provided a presentation “Enterprise Architecture Career Path Working Group” which I am sharing in this blog. Have a look!
