As the National Security and Privacy lead for Microsoft, I get the opportunity to work with a large number of Canadian organizations and gather security best practices from a wide spectrum. We hold an annual event where we have a dialogue about the security threat landscape and best practices for prevention and response. This year the security council will be held on Nov 18 at the Microsoft office in Mississauga, the agenda covers:
- Latest security threat landscape
- Best practices for securing social networking
- How Microsoft secures its own IT systems
- Windows 7 security enhancements and
- Panel discussions about a variety of topics
It is a great opportunity to learn about security, network with your peers and provide feedback to Microsoft. We are giving away 20 seats at the event through this blog. There is no cost for attending the forum, but seating is limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis, please send an email to email@example.com and I will send the registration code to the first 20 respondents. I hope to meet some of you at the event!
