I’ve been unable to locate the document from the National Institute of Standards and Technology that this reference is based on. I’d like to see the metrics used to provide the evidence behind how SQL Server could be rates as the most secure database.
I’ve had a look at there web site and looked through the Program Repository in the DMS category. From my reading the data is very out of date if you want to do a comparison based on the most current versions at that date 04/17/2013.

  2. Hi Norman,

Thanks for your comment.  Do you have any data or studies that you can share to support your point?

My understanding is the 3rd party in this case just looked at the vulnerabilities and not where the database was used.

In addition, you'll notice in the above post that there's a link to the most popular database in Canada (based on IDC data), which happens to be SQL Server.
