Talking to MVPs & Customers at MMS 2012– Manulife’s Journey to Private Cloud

mms2012This year I get the opportunity to connect with the sizeable contingent of customers, Partners and Microsoft Valued Professionals (MVPs) attending the Microsoft Management Summit 2012 (MMS 2012) in Las Vegas April 16-20. Each of the individuals I spoke to were very excited about what they will see and hear about Microsoft’s Private Cloud Platform, System Center 2012, as well as upcoming technologies like Windows Server “8” Beta.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Manjeet Sembhi, Martin Kelly, and Devon Groen from Manulife Financial on their implementation of Microsoft's Private Cloud technologies including System Center 2012 through their participation in the TAP program - Microsoft's program for early adopters. We talked about why they decided to implement a Private Cloud solution to solve specific business requirements, their choice of System, Center components and Hyper-V for their Private Cloud infrastructure, what worked, challenges faced, and where they plan to take their Private Cloud capabilities next.  This one you have to see!
