I just sat through Mark Relph’s kick-off presentation at the Cloud Computing Conference in Toronto. He talked about what we at Microsoft are doing in what is generally called the Cloud Computing Space and what we call Software+Services. This got me thinking about yesterday’s meeting about EnergizeIT 2009 and and future.
Over the last few years EnergizeIT has been a one-day conference for developers, IT Pros, architects, students, enthusiasts, and all others excited about technology and the potential it offers. While we have received very positive feedback about EnergizeIT in that format, we thought it was time to change things up a bit and bring EnergizeIT to other parts of Canada.
From Students to CIO's and everyone in between, EnergizeIT 2009 is about what's possible. Through a series of events across Canada we will show you how to take advantage of the Microsoft Platform to help your organization safely navigate the choppy waters of the current reality. You will have the opportunity to learn how to reduce capital costs while increasing scalability through Microsoft’s approach of bringing together the best aspects of Software and the best aspects of the Internet - Software+Services. You will see how Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will provide a richer platform for developers and those operating your environment while also providing new virtualization options allowing you to solve key application compatibility issues. Finally, you will have an opportunity to interact with your peers, local experts, and Microsoft Canada advisors to share your challenges and learn from their experience.
We will provide more information about EnergizeIT 2009 in the next couple of weeks through the MSDN Flash and TechNet Flash newsletters, so if you are not signed up to receive either, sign up for the TechNet Flash or MSDN Flash now. Get ready for EnergizeIT 2009 and come see what’s possible!!
