And the winner is……..

gold ribbon angledA few weeks ago we announced the My TechNet Tour and opened up voting.  We had narrowed the list down to three things on the minds on IT Pros, Security, Collaboration and Disaster Recovery, and let you decide which theme you wanted us to talk about on the tour.  Voting has now ended and we have a winner!  After over 1300 votes the winner is..... (drum roll please)

The vote was close with a difference between first and last being less than 50 votes!  With that in mind you can be sure that you will see some influence from those themes integrated.  Now that you know the winner it is time to get registered!  We are coming to 10 cities on this tour and you can register for your city today!

October 11 Winnipeg
October 16 St. Johns
October 18 Ottawa
October 23 Quebec City
October 25 Montreal
October 30 Vancouver
November 1 Calgary
November 6 Edmonton
November 8 Regina
November 20 Toronto

Since it’s based on security this year, do I have to worry about the large vicious pit bulls and barbed wire when I get in?

And will we be getting our complimentary "Bonk" on the head as we enter?

I mean getting out of Energize IT 2007 was almost the end of me.

    I…I don’t know… if I can handle another….event!

  3. Rodney Buike says:

The only one who needs to worry about having large vicious pit bulls are people who think it’s funny to send out 555 emails 🙂

  4. ye110wbeard says:

    Hey, I swear!

It was all a big mistake!

    No kidding!

    It was Beta software!

  5. ye110wbeard says:

And yet still for some odd reason, nobody believes me…

  6. Garth says:

I agree this was fixed.. it should have been DR!!!

  7. ye110wbeard says:

Actually security is really important.   Could be one of the best ways to avoid DR.

Next to good hardware, redundancy, lots of backup, UPS and of course sometimes keeping the client’s fingers OUT of the server… 😉

  8. Sean Kearney says:

Personally I was going for DR myself… B)
