Exchange Server 2007

In case you haven't seen this already....

Today at the Microsoft Management Summit the official name of the next version of Exchange Server, formally known as Exchange “12”, was announced – Exchange Server 2007.

 

During his keynote address at the event, Bob Muglia also demonstrated the Exchange Management Shell, a scriptable command line shell in Exchange 2007 as an innovative new application based on Windows PowerShell (formerly known as Monad).

 

Several of the key manageability features in Exchange Server 2007 will include:

  • Exchange Management Shell in Exchange Server 2007
  • The Exchange Management Console
  • Deeper integration of support tools such as ExBPA with MOM
  • Simple and flexible deployment based on specific server roles
