Office 2010 is here!

Microsoft’s Office 2010 launched to the public on June 15. We’re excited about all the new features the suite has to offer both consumers and businesses. With Office 2010, our goal is to enhance the overall user experience through increased productivity, collaboration and creativity.

First, we’re enabling users to access Office 2010 from anywhere on any device. From Office Web Apps, which allows you to work virtually from any location, to Office Mobile, which enables co-workers in different locations to share, edit and comment on documents through their mobile devices, the options are endless.

Office 2010 also helps you to be more creative and productive. PowerPoint 2010 introduces new photo and video editing tools for more compelling presentations, and with Excel 2010, you can create data charts in a single cell with Sparklines – a quick and easy way to highlight important data trends.

In addition, we’re making it easier for people to share ideas and work collaboratively; you now have the ability to share PowerPoint presentations instantly with Broadcast Slide Show. You can also simplify your inbox (and life) with Outlook 2010 and tools such as Conversation View and Quicksteps.

We hope you’re as excited about Office 2010 as we are. In the Boston, Steve Ballmer spoke to NECN’s Peter Howe about the launch, which can be viewed here. And, if you’re interested in learning more about the exciting features, check out these articles from the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald.
