ESG Performance report on Windows Server 2012 Storage and Networking

My good friend Jose Barreto and I just completed recording an episode of TechNet Radio where we highlighted some of the Windows Server 2012 SMB 3.0, Hyper-V and Storage Spaces performance details in the most recent ESG Performance Report on Windows Server 2012 Storage and Networking.  This report was completed by the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) and was intended to back up and essentially provide 3rd party validation of some of the Windows Server 2012 performance claims that we’ve touted post its release.  Inside of this very detailed and thorough 24-page report, they provide charts, tables and graphs of the performance of several of the new features of Windows Server 2012 including:

The report includes full details on the very standard server hardware and low-end storage hardware that was used in ESG’s lab to compile these performance results.

As the momentum for Windows Server 2012 continues to accelerate, this report clearly outlines some of the significant advantages of moving to Windows Server 2012.  You can download a FREE copy of the Windows Server 2012 evaluation software here.
